Rapid Build Project – Supply and Installation of a Memtec M1 Radon / Methane / Carbon Dioxide Membrane

As you all know construction work was shut down as per regulations during the lockdown except for essential projects which included 2no 24 bedroom units in the University Hospital Limerick and Croom Hospital. We at Southwest Radon are proud to be part of this project on behalf off Clancy Construction @ClancyConstruction(main contractor) and cannot praise everyone involved for the hard work and long hours put in to ensure these rapid build projects are completed the highest standard

Duraskrim Reinforced Radon Barrier

Serious level of workmanship was required during our recent visit to a new housing development in Farrenferris, Cork.
Images show Duraskrim reinforced radon barrier installed to a terrace of 4 No. houses; which all varied in several different levels across each house base.

All perimeter & internal walls were above the hardcore, which required a high level of detail in moulding & sealing around each corner.

Several pipe penetrations were also sealed throughout each house base & a bituthene liquid membrane was used to seal wall-ties at vertical drops.

Fairly neat tanking works by our lads last week up at the new Academic Building at Maynooth University for JJ.Rhatigans. Bituthene 4000 (black membrane) installed to RC retaining wall and sealed accordingly onto previously installed preprufe to the vertical base (white membrane shown)
